Benji Brunner
Although he was born in Montreal, Benji actually started playing water polo at the Water Polo School of Szeged (Szegedi Vizipolo Suli) in Hungary when he turned six. While he was there he was coached by Karoly Lihotszky and Vilmos Eles and eventually went on to play on the Hungarian Bantam and Cadet National Teams.
Benji moved to Canada at the age of 17 and started playing for DDO. Then next year he coached the DDO Bantams for a single season. While with DDO he went to Junior World Champs in Argentina wearing Canadian colours. Benji then moved to Calgary to play on the Canadian Senior National Team for two years under the hands of Coach Dragan Jovanovic.
Benji coached the Calgary Seawolves Community Club for one season and this will be his 3rd season with the Dolphins Water Polo Club.
